Knight Kit started in 2005 with a simple problem: police officers needed a personal safety light that was brighter, smaller and cheaper than anything on the market. So we designed one — multiple LEDs, multiple modes, two AA cells for long duration, small enough to disappear on a uniform.
Twenty years later most of what we sell still starts the same way: a customer describes a job, and we go and solve it. The pressure-activated banksman wand exists because Tarmac needed a way for vehicle marshals to signal safely. The sequential cone lamp exists because road crews needed a taper that reads as one movement instead of twenty separate lights.
That's the difference between a supplier and a designer — and it's why we'd still rather hear about your problem than sell you a catalogue.
